Work of the Week: 18/02/22

From Super Bowl stunners to Valentine’s Day campaigns you’ll fall in love with, this week’s top creative work has a little something for everyone, writes LBB’s Ben Conway

Work of the Week: 18/02/22

This week was a busy one in terms of creative content published on our site, to say the least. With the Super Bowl airing early Monday morning for us in the UK, coinciding with Valentine’s Day, there has been a bountiful amount of outstanding work from across the globe for us to see, explore - and now, share with you in this helpful round-up.

We’ve tried not to overload this week’s list with too many ‘Big Game’ spots from the USA, although we could have quite easily included campaigns solely from the Super Bowl. If you are craving that handy list of every single Super Bowl ad, however, look no further than this article right here -  and enjoy soaking in that patriotic, football-y goodness.

Balancing out the Super Bowl choices are some innovative, global Valentine's Day campaigns from Ogilvy UK and Grey Argentina, the first of which promotes great communication for couples and the latter offers refunds for recently-single people’s wasted Valentines gift purchases. So whether you enjoyed the day with that special someone or you spent it weeping into a box of chocolates meant for someone else, our top Valentine’s picks have you covered.

The week’s picks have a bit of everything - something to make you laugh, something to touch your heart and even an Austin Powers throwback to make you feel nostalgic (and so, so old… 25 years? Are you sure?). We’ve included a series of hilariously self-aware MTD DEW spots featuring Charlie Day, a touching tribute to the late NFL legend John Madden and even a Thai loyalty card company’s short film in the style of a Wes Anderson movie, no seriously.

All there’s left to say is: Super Bowl exhaustion has finally struck, so enjoy this selection of the week’s best work (with only a few of our favourite big game spots).
