With COP26 taking place in Glasgow at the end of 2021, ‘Hot Air’ asks the locals, through a series of intimate portraits, how they felt about the future of our planet and the climate crisis we’re facing. Despite interviewing people across a range of ages and socio economic backgrounds, the film raises the poignant reminder that the burden of change has unreasonably fallen on the younger generation, who feel most affected by the oncoming threats of climate change.
As noted in the spot, Glasgow airport is set to be underwater by 2050. With these forecasts becoming an ever-present reality, conferences like ‘Cop-26’ are vital in accelerating action towards the goals set in the Paris Agreement.
With that in mind, take a look at the ‘Hot Air’ film. Directed by Chris Parton and edited by MSE’s Owen O’Sullivan.
