DDB Canada Promotes Nadine Morris to VP, Strategy

DDB Canada Edmonton is pleased to announce the promotion of Nadine Morris to VP strategy, in recognition of her exemplary strategic marketing acumen, innovative approach and planning capabilities. The creation of this new role brings a deliberate strategic lens that will benefit the agency’s clients.

“Nadine’s promotion underlines DDB’s longstanding focus and commitment to strong, thoughtful strategy,” says Martha Jamieson, SVP strategic services, DDB Canada. “With her marketing, sales and CRM background, she brings a level of strategic thinking and planning expertise that is unique and deep.”

Nadine joined DDB Canada’s Edmonton office in 2020 as a group account director where she led a variety of clients including EPCOR, Encor, STARS Lottery and the Edmonton Elks, previously known as the Edmonton Eskimos, who despite a long history with their moniker, made the decision to rename the team out of respect to First Nations communities. This presented a unique challenge of rebranding the team and building a process that would engage new fans and rally their existing fan base. The outcome was a public outreach approach that allowed fans to be part of the decision making, culminating in a new brand name and identity that is fresh, modern and a fan favorite.

Prior to that she was director of sales for national drug store accounts at Johnson & Johnson, helping clients drive category growth and implementing a variety of innovative marketing and sales plans. During her 15-year tenure at Johnson & Johnson she held a variety of progressive positions and worked on brands including Tylenol, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Listerine, and Johnson’s Baby.

“Having served various roles on the brand side for many years, I bring a unique perspective and different approach to solving business problems, which serves as an advantage,” says Nadine.  “I have a passion for insight generation, as I truly believe that this is the foundation for all great strategy and compelling brand stories.”
