Award-winning animation studio and sister company of Absolute, Blind Pig, has announced the hiring of Kingsley Harris as motion designer. With previous roles at Untold Studios, Unit Studio and most recently, The Animation Guys, Kingsley’s new role will see him craft animation solutions for Blind Pig’s diverse client base.
With a skillset covering the full gamut of 2D and 3D workflows, Kingsley boasts an extensive portfolio. He’s worked for clients including Guinness, Virgin and The BBC, for which one of his projects, ‘The Bombs That Changed Britain’, was nominated for a BAFTA craft award – something Kingsley lists as a career highlight to date.
Product and minimalist design are both keen interests, and Kingsley enjoys exploring the creative diversity afforded to him through 2D and 3D craftsmanship in his downtime, developing new concepts and trialling new ideas. He thrives off problem solving and is happiest when fixing issues through creative thinking.
Of his new role, Kingsley comments: “I’m excited to start a new journey with Blind Pig, working within a talented team and elevating myself as a designer. Being able to express my creative vision collaboratively and watching ideas come to life through animation is an incredibly fruitful position to be in.”
Blind Pig’s Creative Director, Ric Comline, adds: “We’re really excited to have the super talented Kingsley Harris joining the Blind Pig crew. Kingsley has a great eye and a broad skillset - he will add some more muscle to our Cinema 4D capability, while also bringing some great character design skills with him too.”
